Sweet Peas for Gracie - Unframed

from $95.00

Like so many of us, my daughter Gracie is partial to sweet peas, so I decided to paint some. I love their airy architectural structure so much. My grandmother had sweet peas in her garden when I was small and I loved to see them climbing the fence.

This botanical painting captures the delicate grace of pink sweet pea flowers against a soft light blue background, the petals rendered with translucent layers that suggest both fragility and vitality; fine brushwork defines the curling tendrils and veined blossoms while subtle highlights convey the way light skims their surfaces, and the cool blue field provides a calm, airy contrast that lifts the warm pinks, creating a balanced composition that feels both intimate and gently expansive.

Please note this is the fine art print only. Framed prints are available in a separate listing. Prints have a 1 inch bleed to ensure none of the image is covered by frame if not using matting. If you prefer no white edge (image to the edge of the paper), please specify that request.
